The Black Rep Presents Dianne McIntyre: In the Same Tongue
A pioneering dance innovator, noted for decades of collaborations with leading forces in avant-garde jazz, Dianne McIntyre returns to The Black Rep with a major new work featuring a score by celebrated composer Diedre Murray and poems by Obie-winning playwright Ntozake Shange. This elegant and captivating work employs a live jazz ensemble and a company of dancers to explore the deep rivers of communication in our artistic expressions, in our personal expressions and in our cultural history expressions.
